Bridging the Gap
Exploring tools to support connections between participants and researchers that enrich and hone data and analyses across the big data research lifecycle.
As we turn our attention to solving in conditions where lived experience varies widely it is becoming increasingly apparent that we will never capture the deep, longitudinal, and granular data nor the diverse insights needed to power this important research without direct and sustained community involvement. This formative investigation explores the digital infrastructure (i.e., technical, design, and governance tools/features) needed to scale participatory methods while supporting transparent, reproducible, and inclusive science using human computer interaction design approaches, specifically participatory design and values sensitive design.
