DIAN Project
A project to remotely assess cognitive function in patients suffering from Alzheimer Disease.
The Ambulatory Research in Cognition (ARC) app was designed by the Cognitive Technology Research Laboratory (CTRLab) in the department of Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis for participants enrolled in the Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer Network (DIAN) studies. The ARC app assesses cognition using frequently administered but brief cognitive tests developed by the CTRLab. This app is actively deployed into the DIAN observational study and the Healthy Aging and Senile Dementia Study (HASD ARC); additionally it is planned to be deployed into a series of clinical trials populated by individuals recruited from the observational study cohort, most notably the DIAN Trials Unit. Sage Bionetworks is responsible for building the iOS and Android ARC apps, and collecting data to support the study using the Bridge platform.
