Neurofibromatosis Therapeutic Acceleration Program (NTAP)

The goals of the NTAP project is to accelerate the pace of drug discovery in Neurofibromatosis, a genetic pre-cancer syndrome that causes the growth of neurofibromas throughout affected patients.

NTAP is working with Sage on numerous fronts to accelerate the pace of drug discovery in Neurofibromatosis, a genetic pre-cancer syndrome that causes the growth of neurofibromas throughout affected patients. Broadly Sage is working create a comprehensive data portal for both meta and raw data across all NTAP-funded projects. NTAP investigators upload their data to this site, and the data is opened initially to a small community of investigators. As the data is made publicly available, raw data can be released for broad scientific use. Sage is also assisting with analysis of cell lines derived from plexiform neurofibromas that can serve as a novel platform for future drug screening.
