Our Projects

Scientific Coordination

Scientific Coordination

As biological research has become more data intensive, the breadth of data and expertise required to address research problems has expanded. In many cases, research problems require the integrated efforts of a distributed set of researchers with shared interests and complementary resources.

We work with funders and researchers to coordinate data distribution under FAIR principles and to help teams of teams balance incentives and achieve research goals. This work is performed by an interdisciplinary team coordinated by our scientists and supported by Sage software engineering, design, and governance systems. Because data stewardship is complicated, we use a flexible system that facilitates a secure and collaborative data management environment that can adapt to the needs of each research community.

At Sage Bionetworks, we work to make sure that biomedical data is available, useful, and usable to scientists around the world to encourage reuse and to help realize the potential of collaborative science.
