Our Values
As “Sagers“, we aspire to bring people together in a way that can accelerate biomedical discovery and make a lasting impact on human health. For this vision to come true, we embody a set of core operating principles; a blueprint for how we work effectively, for how we treat each other and our communities, and for how we ultimately transform science and medicine. These are the core values that make “Sagers” special:
Science Driven
We use data and evidence for impactful work
Accountable
We deliver through trust and transparency
Growth Oriented
We are curious, we seek challenges and we aspire to improve
Empathetic + Inclusive
We embrace differences and empower all
Radically Collaborative
We maximize impact through teamwork and building communities
As part of our commitment to these values, Sage Bionetworks maintains an open-door policy, where all Sagers are welcome and encouraged to discuss matters without any formal barriers. This practice helps foster a culture of open communication, where employees are empowered to seek guidance, express concerns, contribute ideas and share a sense of ownership in the organization.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We believe that science is better together. We strive for a welcoming and inclusive environment, where all voices are heard, and where what we do for each other is as important as the work we do with our collaborators and partners.
We embrace the unique perspectives, backgrounds, identities and experiences of our team members, recognizing that diversity drives innovation and fosters creativity. We are committed to creating a culture where our differences are celebrated and the advancement of open science involves us all.
This commitment is built into our Core Values and Code of Conduct, and is expected of everyone who participates in the Sage Bionetworks community.

While most jobs are open to being fully remote, we retain the option of hybrid work schedules, as well as regular all-staff meetups throughout the year. As the world of work evolves, so too does our international workforce.
